Scientific Committee and Instructors


The ENBIS course is coordinated by Prof. Luigi D’Ambra (University of Naples Federico II, Italy) and Prof. Ron Kenett (KPA Group, Israel), under the aegis of the ECAS Board and the Scientific Program Committee of ENBIS-2017.

G. Barcaroli works in the Italian National Statistical Institute (Istat) as head of the Methods, Quality and Metadata Division. He is also involved in European Project and Task Forces dealing with the use of Big Data for official statistics.

Alessandro Fassò is a full professor of Statistics at the University of Bergamo. President-elect of The International Environmetrics Society (TIES). Member of the Council of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). He is an Associate Editor of Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Analysis (SERRA), and Advances in Statistical Analysis (AStA) and he is an Editor of the Chilean Journal of Statistics. 

R. Kenett is chairman of the KPA Group, an Israeli company with expertise in analytics, research professor at the university of Turin, Italy and visiting professor at the Hebrew university of Jerusalem. He is also a special consultant to the Israel Central Bureau for Statistics and a  member of the advisory board of several start-up companies focused on web and industrial applications.

M. Vives-Mestres is a researcher in the in the Department of Computer Science, Applied Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Girona, Spain. Her scientific activity is centered around statistical process control, survey analysis and design of experiments from a compositional perspective.

Marco S. Reis is Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He is currently President of the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS), President of PRODEQ – Association for the Development of Chemical Engineering, responsible for the Process Systems Engineering (PSE) research group at the department of Chemical Engineering and founder of the Process Chemometrics Laboratory. He lectures courses on process systems engineering, quality technology and management, management and entrepreneurship, and process improvement.
