Islamic Literatures in Sub-Saharan Africa: Written and Oral Legacies

This conference is part of the PRIN Islamic Literatures in Sub-Saharan Africa: Themes, Genres and Publics (20222ZRMFZ). It brings together scholars working on literatures in Islamic Africa from different perspectives which are concentrated in four sessions: varieties of the qasida in Africa, ajami traditions, oral texts and performances, and manuscript corpuses.
