Il nostro Ateneo torna a ospitare il Simposio del CEST - Consortium for European Symposia on Turkey, quest’anno dedicato al tema “Who Owns the Nation? Imperial Imaginaries and Cultural Resistance in Contemporary Turkey”.
Il programma sarà inaugurato dalla keynote lecture “Terra (In)firma: Irreconcilable Spatio-Temporalities in the Sacred Landscapes of the Upper Euphrates” di Zeynep Kezer (University of Newcastle).
Seguiranno due morning lectures, la proiezione di un documentario e interventi di ospiti internazionali sui temi: Contested Memories: Mourning and Counter-Hegemony; Reimagining the Nation: Identity and Ideological Ruptures; Gendered Nations: Feminist Counter-Narratives and Everyday Resistance; Spatial Politics and Cultural Contestations; Artistic Resistance: Cultural Practices and Alternative Belongings.
L’evento si svolge dal 14 al 16 gennaio presso la Sala Conferenze di Palazzo Corigliano ed è possibile partecipare senza previa prenotazione.
