Program Overview
The Italian second-cycle degree program in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners (abbreviation: MCS) responds to strong demand from two student groups. On the one hand, international students frequently enroll in first-level degree programs at L’Orientale, drawn by the University’s long-standing tradition and its many partnerships with European and non-European institutions. On the other hand, Italian students pursue the program to complete their education with a view to teaching and promoting Italian language and culture abroad.
Indeed, Southern Italy lacks this type of educational program, which addresses a pressing need in the Mediterranean region.
The Italian second-cycle degree program in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners is a two-year program in Degree Class LM-14 – Modern Philology. Upon completion, students are awarded the Italian second-cycle degree in Italian Language and Culture for Foreigners.
To obtain the degree, students must earn 120 ECTS credits. The program offers a single curriculum.
