Course Overview

The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Ancient Cultures and Archaeology: Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean provides a broad and interdisciplinary education focused on the ancient civilisations of the Mediterranean basin, Africa and Asia, from Prehistory to the Middle Ages.

The programme adopts a comparative approach to enable students to understand the complexity of the ancient world across chronological, geographical and cultural dimensions. It places particular emphasis on the interconnected nature of ancient societies and long-term historical processes.

Teaching combines theoretical learning with practical activities, including lectures, seminars, laboratory work, archaeological fieldwork and internships in the field of cultural heritage.
